    The Health Care Reform and what it means for Collaborative Health Care!

    The newly signed Health Care Reform legislation (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care Education Reconciliation Act of 2010) calls for more collaborative care, which involves the help of mental health professionals.  To learn more about what this legislation means for mental health professionals and collaborative care, go to the APA Health Care Reform Activities Update and the APA Health Care Reform website.

    Think the stimulus package doesn’t apply to you?

    Think again!

    The stimulus package gives $300 million to the National Health Service Corps, which provides health services in underserved areas.  Of that, $200 million will be allocated for loan repayment.  Health professionals working in these areas, including psychologists, are eligible to apply for these funds.  Consult the National Health Service Corps for more information.

    Students from across the country come together once a year at the CFHA conference to meet other students interested in collaborative care. Students representing disciplines such as medical family therapy, psychology, social work, medicine, and nursing are involved in CFHA.
