CFHA's 12th Annual Conference
Remaking National Healthcare - Collaborative Care for a Healthier America
October 21-23, 2010
The Seelbach Hilton Hotel
500 Fourth Street
Louisville, Kentucky USA

The theme of CFHA's 2010 Conference is "Remaking National Healthcare - Collaborative Care for a Healthier America." The world is watching as the United States works its' political process toward healthcare reform in the hope of a system that will bring quality healthcare to more Americans. Where is collaborative care in the context of current reform efforts? What other policy and financial reforms would make a collaborative and family-centered healthcare model more viable in real-world settings? As researchers, educators, providers and advocates of collaborative care, it is important for us to know the latest research and practice models -- to know the implications for these models on healthcare reform efforts and to know what we can do to advance collaborative practices systemically.

Louisville is a gem of a city, the 16th largest in the US and host to this year's conference. We encourage you to check out Louisville by visiting www.gotolouisville.com and the conference venue - the beautiful and historic Seelbach Hilton Hotel at http://www.seelbachhilton.com/. The 2010 CFHA Conference room rate is $130 per night.

Collaborative Family Healthcare Association 11th Annual Conference
Families, Culture and Collaborative Care: Perspectives from Home and Abroad
October 22-24, 2009 - San Diego, California USA
More than 330 people attended the 2009 Conference in San Diego.
The Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA) is a national association whose mission is to promote a comprehensive and cost-effective model of healthcare delivery that integrates mind and body, individual and family, patients, providers and communities. Its members have been researching, writing about, teaching and creating collaborative care instruction, clinical delivery systems and research projects since 1996. Many pilots of integrated care are going on across the country, and there is a growing body of data that indicates that this integrated approach is more effective, cost-effective and efficient than "dis-integrated" care. The Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative - the major national group promoting the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) has recognized the importance of integrating behavioral health into the PCMH. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has challenged all working in this area to develop an even stronger evidence base to identify which specific components of collaborative care are most important.
CFHA has been providing conferences since 1998, focusing on the many and varied aspects of collaborative and integrated healthcare. It has become the premiere conference of its type, bringing together practitioners, researchers, students, academicians, corporations, governmental agencies, foundations and many others.
Who Should Attend
The CFHA Conference is for medical and mental health providers and administrators including physicians, nurses, other clinicians, psychologists, teachers, researchers, and administrators who seek collaborative solutions to the complex challenges of patient care. Individuals and organizations interested in innovative and cost effective strategies for integrating behavioral health and medical health care delivery, improving patient outcomes, professional networking and provider training are encouraged to attend.
Networking Opportunities
One of the greatest benefits of the CFHA Annual Conference is to stimulate thinking and share ideas about best practices in collaborative family healthcare. Networking receptions, luncheon programs, and facilitated discussion groups during the Conference offer excellent opportunities for professional interaction in a more formal setting.
