    Advocacy

    Advocacy
    Function: noun
    Date: 15th century
: the act or process of advocating or supporting a cause or proposal

    Why Advocate?
The Collaborative Family Healthcare Association is committed to seeing change happen within our health care system .Advocating, or supporting a cause, is central to the mission of CFHA whereby we promote a comprehensive and cost-effective model of health care delivery that integrates mind and body, individual and family, patients, providers and communities.

Advocating takes time and effort. CFHA is interested in working with other individuals or associations who have similar values and goals for health care.

Our Advocacy Section Editor is Dr. Sandy Blount, past chair of CFHA, who has published two books on collaborative healthcare in primary care. He has been a leader in identifying strategic points of entry for advocating for collaborative care and its value to citizens and the healthcare professions.
